The Glyde U940 is Samsung’s first touchscreen phone for Verizon and is in direct competition with the LG Voyager that was released almost 6 month earlier. It is based on the GSM Samsung F700, with similarities in style and form, yet the feature-set has changed. The Glyde is targeted to consumers that are looking for a touchscreen device, with a smaller footprint than the Voyager, while maintaining a mechanical QWERTY keyboard.

Samsung is bringing the Anycall L258 model phone to Hong Kong and probably the rest of China. The Samsung L258 with its metallic-silver and black exterior gives a sense of sophistication and glamour which is important in the competitive mid-range market today.
The Anycall L258 is a tri-band GSM/GPRS phone with a 2.3″ QVGA touchscreen, 2 megapixel camera, FM radio, stereo bluetooth and a microSD memory slot. Pre-installed software includes, but not limited to, music player, web browser (Openwave), and handwriting recognition. The L258 measures 113×50x14.5 mm and weighs 97 grams. Once it hits the market you’ll be able to get the Samsung Anycall L258 for $2,180 HK (around $280 US).

The Xperia X1 smartphone is the first ever Windows Mobile-powered device by Sony Ericsson. The Xperia X1 comes with a 3-inch VGA touchscreen with a resolution of 800×480, a full QWERTY keypad, and a new tile-like interface called “Xperia Panels.”
