My sources tell me that Metro PCS will Launch Las Vegas as soon as they think the network is 100%. They are really making sure that what happened in the LA market doesn’t repeat itself in future markets. There will be 2 phones released due to the fact that they are using a new spectrum out there. Metro PCS will utilize the AWS (Advance Wireless Services) spectrum band and soon all their phones will be CDMA AWS capable. Bad news is only AWS capable phones will work out there so if you’re in the LA market and travel to Vegas a lot you will have to upgrade your phone soon. Good news is pretty soon you can travel from LA to Las Vegas with no problems or service interruptions. The Network should launch April or May 1st 2008. {Source}

My sources at Boost Mobile tell me that the company plans to release 8 new phones in 2008 on the Boost Unlimited system. I hear the next to join the current trio is the LG Rumor. The company is finally branching out from the usual Motorola handset releasing phones from LG, Sanyo and other brands to give customers a decent option. With Metro PCS’ line-up of phones constantly changing and growing it’s nice to see that Boost is finally accepting the fact the prepaid unlimited is here to stay.

The two systems launched in Southern California in or around August of 2007 and now after around 6 months of selling both products I can give you my customers feedback.
