The Verizon Wireless G’zOne Boulder is rugged and is built water tight. The new Boulder features: V Cast Music and Videos, VZ Navigator and more, all backed by Verizon Wireless’ super-fast EV-DO Rev. A network. Most of the features don’t work as well on the Boulder as they do on other phones, especially when it’s time to dry the phone off and actually make some calls, but that might be what you have to live with to have a phone that can take such punishment.

What’s different is that this phone features a protected style and aggressive design. The music control buttons below the large external display are a clear sign of the phone being used for music playback, so the base package is expected to include a memory card.

Samsung Airave Boosts Coverage

The Airave is a femtocell that is being offered by Sprint and its technology partner Samsung. The basic idea is to improve cellular coverage in your home or office. Basic tests show that cell coverage increases considerably where there was weak coverage to start. The device covers an area of 5000 sqft. so it’s great for most homes that don’t get great reception.

The Glyde U940 is Samsung’s first touchscreen phone for Verizon and is in direct competition with the LG Voyager that was released almost 6 month earlier. It is based on the GSM Samsung F700, with similarities in style and form, yet the feature-set has changed. The Glyde is targeted to consumers that are looking for a touchscreen device, with a smaller footprint than the Voyager, while maintaining a mechanical QWERTY keyboard.

Tag Heuer released details about their first mobile phone the Tag Heuer Meridiist which will be launching in September, reports I4U News. The Tag Heuer Meridiist will carry over the luxury materials Tag Heuer uses in its famous watches. The mobile phone will be hand assembled from 430 components and constructed from corrosion-resistant, watch making 316L steel. The displays are protected by scratch resistant 60.5 carats sapphire crystal.

Of course Tag Heuer found a way to feature a time display in a very cool way on the Meridiist. On the top of the handset a digital time display makes this phone unique. {Wristdreams}
