Two New Sidekicks

T-Mobile announced the Sidekick LX and the Sidekick Slide yesterday. Both have the standard Sidekick communication software along with the new mobile Myspace application.
The LX, made by Sharp, is a slimed down update to Sidekick 3. Included with the LX is a 128MB microSD card and has a flash for the camera. The swivel joint on it is improved from the Sidekick 3’s swivel. It also has cool lights that can be set to differentiate between message types. Available October 17, 2007 for existing clients and October 24th for new clients. $299 with 2-year agreement.
Sidekick Slide, made by Motorola, is a smaller version of the Sidekick LX. It does not have a swivel, rather, its 2-inch QVGA screen slides straight up to reveal the QWERTY keyboard underneath. Sorry, no flash on this one. It will be available November 7th for $199 with 2-year agreement.
