Sony Ericsson Equinox
T-Mobile in now adding more spark to its 3G phones collection with the latest introduction from Sony - The Sony Ericsson Equinox (code named T707). Even though its a basic flip-phone in functionality, SE’s Equinox sports some eye-catching bling to carry itself to the limelight among the other well established ordinary clamshell models available in the market. First of all the stylish exterior is just extraordinary. After you have updated your T-Mobile favorites list with your near and dear callers , the phones shell lights up so that you can identity your caller by recognizing the color. Other than the color caller id, the external shell also features an integrated 128 x 36 OLED screen that lights up while you get an incoming call.
If these features aren’t enough to convince you then here comes a huge list - 100% scratch-resistant 2.2-inch QVGA inner display, a 3.2MP camera, stereo Bluetooth , GPS - nav, FM radio, accelerometer for motion sensing and gesture control, picture messaging, and even the facility to directly upload videos to your YouTube account. The Equinox is out on T-Mobile stores from October 28th .

So, I am one of those off people who haven’t had an iPod since the 1 GB nano. This is my second one. Needless to say I filled up my PC with 10 GB of music and was heavily syncing various playlists every week. Well, I finally decided that this year I wanted an upgrade and was seriously torn between this product and the 120GB. I thought all I want is more music and podcast space, right?
Thankfully, a few people within my circle suggested the 16GB touch for the same price and I can’t believe I ever considered the alternative. The iTouch is amazing and has literally changed things for me. I was concerned about not having enough space like I wanted; but, I was surprised as to how much I have available with this iPod. The built in speakers are also great. For example, when listening to a podcast in the car I can keep listening when I get home by setting it on the counter without having to plug in headphones…brilliant!. My only complaint which isn’t really a complaint as much as it is a fact is that I wish there were more Wi-Fi places in the area. It is kind of bunk when I want to download a book or search for show times on the fly; but, need to find a hotspot first. Obviously, I just call instead.
So, all I really want to share in this review is what I actually have synched on my touch right now for those of you who are considering this product or another one.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
