Samsung has unveiled the attractive M150 bar style phone. Available in light gray, charcoal gray, pure white, lavender pink and ice blue, the handset comes equipped with a softly brushed hairline pattern, which is exclusively found on many of Samsung’s famous full-metal phones. Other features included mp3 player, an embedded VGA camera, MPEG4 video recording technology, FM radio with recording function and 20MB internal memory. The Samsung M150 Bar Type Phone will be released worldwide around mid-August.

Most cellphone concepts looks really cool but none are ever really practical for everyday use. Here’s one that falls into that category, it’s a nameless concept designed by Marc Schomann. The mobile phone (if we can call it that) is divided into segments. One twist turns the phone on and there are 12 segments for you to twist when you have to dial.

The design for this concept was inspired by haptic technology and it’s the most “cryptic” phone out there (to my knowledge). So, if you like this design then prepare your wrists for a work out. You’ll be looking like Popeye in no time.

The Glyde U940 is Samsung’s first touchscreen phone for Verizon and is in direct competition with the LG Voyager that was released almost 6 month earlier. It is based on the GSM Samsung F700, with similarities in style and form, yet the feature-set has changed. The Glyde is targeted to consumers that are looking for a touchscreen device, with a smaller footprint than the Voyager, while maintaining a mechanical QWERTY keyboard.

In an effort to keep their subscribers, AOL has released a new software application for smartphones called AOL MyMobile Beta. The software is compatible with most popular Windows Mobile devices. Tag Heuer released details about their first mobile phone the Tag Heuer Meridiist which will be launching in September, reports I4U News. The Tag Heuer Meridiist will carry over the luxury materials Tag Heuer uses in its famous watches. The mobile phone will be hand assembled from 430 components and constructed from corrosion-resistant, watch making 316L steel. The displays are protected by scratch resistant 60.5 carats sapphire crystal.

Of course Tag Heuer found a way to feature a time display in a very cool way on the Meridiist. On the top of the handset a digital time display makes this phone unique. {Wristdreams}

A white XV6900 or HTC Touch is now available at Verizon Wireless. Keep in mind that you have to be under a contract. The HTC Touch is going for about $250 after rebate. {techfresh}

The Edge phone is designed for those concerned with style, design and unique flavor. The Edge’s look is what captures you with its glowing glass keyboard.

To answer an incoming call, slide the glass keyboard out. An embedded LED illuminates the etched numerics via refraction creating a glowing effect. The only visible lines is the microphone wiring which designer Chris Owens has cleverly disguised as a keyboard border.
