Looks like Apple might release a clamshell iPhone in the near future. This is an illustration of what it might look like found in a recent Apple patent application.
In a closed position, this clamshell becomes an ordinary slate tablet computer, with a multi-touch touchscreen. If you open the flip to up-to 160 degree angle, it becomes a normal laptop computer. Interesting concept if you ask me.

As of the March 14th 2008 the Apple iPhone will be available in Austria and Ireland. In Austria, the exclusive carrier is T-Mobile, while in Ireland O2 is the network. The 8GB model will go for 399 EURO and 499 EURO for the 16GB iPhone.
Corporate users of the iPhone have rated the device better than they do the RIM BlackBerry or the Palm Treo phones. So what is Apple doing to give them an edge in the sought after smartphone market? They’re adding enterprise support on the iPhone.
Apple has now released the iPhone with double the memory and double the fun. The iPhone is now available in a new 16GB model for $499. This luxury cell phone designer knows what his high end clients want and charges them high end prices for it. This iPhone will dig deep into your pockets at around $41,225.

After a flood of emails and iPhone customers angrily venting on Apple forums about the $200 price reduction, Steve Jobs has announced that customers that purchased their phones from an Apple or AT&T store will receive $100 in store credit.
Customers who bought an iPhone within 14 days of the price cut can get a refund of the price difference if they have the original receipt. The price cut, and the phaseout of the 4-gigabyte iPhone, came less than 10 weeks after the two products hit the market June 29.
The claim at iPhoneSIMfree.com is they have successfully cracked Apple’s iPhone SIM lock system. From what I read, after non-stop work since launch day they’re the first to break the locks. The software they created completely unlocks the iPhone. It is restore-resistant, and should make the iPhone fully functional for users outside of the US.
The good people of Hong Kong have some great news. The fully unlocked Apple iPhone has arrived and can make phone calls, SMS/MMS and can GPRS online without an AT&T SIM card. The only downside to this is the $1200 you have to come up with for the 8GB iPhone.
