Huawei M318 Equals Garbage

Huawei M318

The FCC approved this MetroPCS disgrace of technology last year that was just released in the LA market last month. I don’t understand how such a phone can be produced in today’s market. The Huawei M318 has no Bluetooth, no camera, no speaker phone and to add to the demise of technology it has a horrible battery life. Technology just took 10 steps back with this one.

Nokia Morph Concept Phone with Nanotechnology

The Morph by Nokia is based on nanotechnology developments. It has a detachable speaker that either clips onto the ear as a hands-free headset or connects to the main phone as a speaker. The nanotechnology provides for a touch screen display that is flexible and translucent. Don’t hold your breath though, it isn’t expected for another 8 years or so (hopefully). The video after the jump will paint a prettier picture.

Google, Yahoo Score Big at 2008 Mobile World Congress

Google Inc. and Yahoo Inc. each announced impressive wins at Mobile World Congress 2008 last week.

Nokia Corp. announced that it will include Google’s technology with it’s own mobile search application in select markets (on the Nokia N96, N78,6220 and 6210 Navigator). Nokia plans to make Google search available to customers in more than 100 countries and 40 languages.

Yahoo’s win, on the other hand, is the one that raised eyebrows at the Mobile World Congress 2008. T-Mobile International announced plans to make Yahoo it’s exclusive mobile service in Europe at the end of March as part of its web’n'walk service giving Yahoo access to nearly 90 million wireless subscribers in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Austria and eight other European markets. This ends a 3 year relationship between T-Mobile and Google.
